Disk Defragmentation in Windows 7

The defragment feature in windows can automatically run, but you can control it manually also by following the below mentioned steps:
1. Click on start menu and open control panel.
2. Open system and security.
3. Click on Defragment your hard drive.
4. Select the drive you want to analyze(like 'C' drive).
5. Click on Analyze Disk.

Defragmentation depends on the size of the volume and the amount of fragmentation . You can also set the defragmentation schedule by the following these steps:

1. Click on configure schedule and the open the day menu.
2. Set day by selecting day.
3. Click ok and close.
